Madison Newbell

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Madison Newbell is currently a freshman at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Madison graduated from Brigham Young University Independent Studies Honors Program and participated heavily in her church youth group from age 13 to 18 with a huge concentration in community service and volunteer work. Her passion for engineering was inspired by a love for creating concepts, researching, and developing new ideas. Through the Patti Grace Smith Fellowship, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Masten Space Systems, and her involvement with the Black Student Association at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Madison looks forward to using these opportunities to further advance her college career as an aspiring Aerospace Engineer. Madison’s love for everything science, technology, math, and engineering-related has her very excited for what’s next in Aerospace Engineering. While at Masten Space Systems, she looks forward to assisting Masten Space Systems in their mission to accelerate the realization of space ecosystems on the Moon, Mars, and beyond. By Madison becoming a 2022 Patti Grace Smith Fellow while attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and looking forward to graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, she is excited about how this fellowship could bring more opportunities within the Aerospace industry in her near future.
