Chancellor Charles-Halbert

Chancellor is second year student at Mississippi State University, majoring in Electrical Engineering. He grew up in the Atlanta area where he developed a love for education and the fine arts. From the young age of four, he took piano lessons and picked up saxophone a few years later. It was his love of music and creativity that inspired his interest and later on passion for engineering. As a very involved young man, some of Chancellor’s interest include swimming, all genres of music, programming, and aviation. He is a member of the 186 Air National guard unit located in Meridian, MS with aspirations of becoming a part-time fighter pilot. He is eager to learn from his experience as an intern at United Launch Alliance and as a Patti Grace Smith Fellow. He hopes that more opportunities like this will arise for other young, dreaming black students in all fields.
