Nicholas Olibrice is a student at the University of New Hampshire working towards a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Nick is the president of UNH’s National Society of Black Engineers, as well as a member of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space. His excitement and passion for space has been ongoing since youth. He was introduced to physics in high school, which connected his previous interest with math applications to a new fascination with real-world understanding of the intricacies of the universe. He has found a deeper connection to the development of space, and the advancement of human civilization. As a student-athlete for more than 75% of his life, Nick thought dreams of professional athletics were solely through the love of the sports. He now realizes that he seeks to positively influence as many people as possible. He believes that within the space industry, not only can he help further develop humankind, but it is also a pathway that allows for more influence on the next generation through what he’s passionate about. Nick is ready to continue his growth through experiencing more challenges ahead, no matter what they make be.
